A little bit of Christmas inspiration

The Gold Wrapping Paper
Once upon a time, there was a man who worked very hard just to keep food on the table for his family. This particular year a few days before Christmas, he punished his little five-year-old daughter after learning that she had used up the family's only roll of expensive gold wrapping paper.
As money was tight, he became even more upset when on Christmas Eve he saw that the child had used all of the expensive gold paper to decorate one shoebox she had put under the Christmas tree. He also was concerned about where she had gotten money to buy what was in the shoebox.
Nevertheless, the next morning the little girl, filled with excitement, brought the gift box to her father and said, "This is for you, Daddy!"
As he opened the box, the father was embarrassed by his earlier overreaction, now regretting how he had punished her.
But when he opened the shoebox, he found it was empty and again his anger flared. "Don't you know, young lady," he said harshly, "when you give someone a present, there's supposed to be something inside the package!"
The little girl looked up at him with sad tears rolling from her eyes and whispered: "Daddy, it's not empty. I blew kisses into it until it was all full."
The father was crushed. He fell on his knees and put his arms around his precious little girl. He begged her to forgive him for his unnecessary anger.
An accident took the life of the child only a short time later. It is told that the father kept this little gold box by his bed for all the years of his life. Whenever he was discouraged or faced difficult problems, he would open the box, take out an imaginary kiss, and remember the love of this beautiful child who had put it there.
In a very real sense, each of us has been given an invisible golden box filled with unconditional love and kisses from our children, family, friends and God. There is no more precious possession anyone could hold.

Half way reminder

Hi everyone,

Thanks so much to all you have shared their work so far in the December 2015 Anything-goes link-up. It's great to see the variety of work being shared by JKOC's loyal participants and also some new faces as well. You have until the end of December to get your entries in so keep em' coming :). I have been extremely busy with having one market stall after the other, very exhausting, challenging and fun at the same time. I am hoping to catch up on commenting and blogging very soon. My aim is to be much more organised during the Christmas season from now on, it will definitely make my life much easier.

Faith is the owner of From the heart stamps. Her love of cardmaking and technology inspired her to venture into the world of illustrating stamps in November 2009. Each digi is created with the cardmaker in mind, and is a high-quality, high-resolution image you will use again and again. From The Heart Stamps offers a wide range of images—truly something for everyone. You can also find Faith's illustrations in red rubber exclusively from Whipper Snapper Designs, and soon in clear photopolymer from From the Heart Stamps.

Doctor Digi
The second sponsor is Dr Digi house of stamps who will be donating two digi's to the second random winner.
DR Digi's House of Stamps is a site that aims to bring you digi stamps with a sense of humour. This site is  not your average Digi site, you won't find flowers and teddy bears.  Well you might.. but it'll be holding a bloody big chainsaw!

Random winner and featured artists for November

A huge thank you to everyone who shared their beautiful creations in the November link-up. It's so good to  see  the number of people sharing their creations has almost doubled from the October link-up, awesome stuff. It's always great to see the loyal participants of JKOC continue to share their work and it's fantastic to see so many new people share their work as well. Everyone's entries were truly inspirational and there was such a variety of entries in the November link-up. I had to do a huge catch up today with commenting etc so I hope I commented properly as I have to admit I was getting stuck everytime I came across "are you a robot" when commenting, if there are any comments that don't make sense please delete them. I try to comment on all submissions and for some reason I am not able to comment be rest assured I have looked at your submission. I look forward to seeing more of everyone's work in the December link-up.
